In Human Geography class today, we took some long notes about the previous topics we had been talking about. Some of the notes include the following:
Situation: location of a place relative to other places. A valuable way to indicate location for two reasons - finding an unfamiliar place and understanding its importance.
Site: Physical character of a place
Climate: if dry, affects animals adaptations and such. Dif. types of organisms live in different climates.
Topography: Terrain height. How far away land is from sea.
Soils: depends on what kind of an area will grow crops
Vegetation: grasses, etc...
Latitude: Areas of different temperatures and climates.
I enjoyed Human Geography today, sort of... it was the first class so eh.
